At Champlain Valley Equipment, everyone works as a team to provide the best experience for all customers from the purchase of a chain saw to a self-propelled harvester. From three stores in Vermont, in Middlebury, St. Albans and Derby,  Champlain Valley Equipment serves large farms, hobby farms, horse owners, and home owners. Their service area covers the Champlain Valley, mainly in Vermont, and the North East Kingdom.

Champlain Valley Equipment has been owned and operated by the Carpenter family since 1970. They believe that their high quality people and team work set them apart from their competition.

In 2006, Champlain Valley Equipment was recognized as Farm Equipment's Dealership of the Year.   

History

Three Stores, three great locations, and friendly knowledgeable people to service all your equipment needs.

Champlain Valley Equipment was established in 1970 when Russell C. and Russell F. Carpenter purchased Knapp Farm Supply, an existing Ford Tractor Dealership, from Jack Knapp in Middlebury.

Champlain Valley Equipment purchased Green Mountain tractor in 2001 and expanded its product offering dramatically. 2005 saw an expansion into Franklin County and the power sports business with the purchase of Fineline Equipment and Power Sports. The Derby Equipment purchase in 2008 expanded coverage into the Northeast Kingdom.  Each store retains local presence and some local ownership while capitalizing on the advantages of a larger purchasing base.

We pride ourselves on flexibility and versatility. If we don’t have it, we’ll find it. The best sales, service and parts departments in the area.  Need help financing? We work with CNH Capital, Kubota Finance, Kuhn Finance , Agricredit and others.
